Mr. George A. Wisenburn, 83, of Rockwell Drive, Ilion, NY, died August 14, 2025, surrounded by his family at his home. 

George was born in Albany, NY, on May 17th, 1942, the son of George E. and Gladys Mae Shaffer Wisenburn.

He was a graduate of Ravena High School, Class of 1961. 

From 1961 to 1963, he served in the US Marine Corps. 

Following his discharge from the Marine Corps, he worked at Remington Arms, Hummel's Office Plus, Fairwood Apartments in Guilderland, and the Atlantic Cement Co. in Ravena, NY. Most recently, he had worked as an asset protection agent for Walmart in Marcy, NY. 

For the past 19 years, he has lived in Ilion, NY. 

George belonged to the Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Hall in Utica, NY, where he enjoyed ministering. He also enjoyed bird watching, fishing, and camping. 

On July 17, 1965, in Ilion, NY, he married Gloria Thornton.

He was predeceased by his brother Denny Wisenburn.

Survivors include his wife of 60 years, Gloria Wisenburn;  son Michael and Lori Wisenburn; daughter Kimberly A. and Brian Sadlon; brother Eric and his wife Jusy Wisenburn; grandchildren Becca Hands and Jason Wisenburn; as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

At George's request, services will be private and at the convenience of the family. 

Arrangements are under the direction of Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13317.
