Obituary of Patricia J. Congdon
Patricia J. Congdon, 85 of Mohawk, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at the Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Home in Little Falls after a brief illness.
Patricia was born August 16, 1940, in Montgomery County, the daughter of Frank and Hazel (Baker) Frederick. She attended Canajoharie Area Schools. She worked several jobs in her lifetime, helping out on the farm, working for Sydney Bicycle, and serving as Head of Housekeeping at Valley Health Services in Herkimer. Patricia was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Little Falls. In her spare time, she enjoyed going out to eat and shopping, especially with her daughter-in-law Lisa and granddaughter Melinda, as well as spending time with her grandchildren and family.
On March 21, 1959, she married Herman Congdon II.
She is survived by: her children, Ricky (Lisa) Congdon, Linda Lawrence, Herman (Kim) Congdon III, Joseph Congdon, and Paul Congdon; sixteen grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and several great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Dorothy L. Frederick-Dodson-Russ. Also, several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband and many of her siblings.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, January 2nd, from 2-4 PM at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N Ann Street, Little Falls, New York, followed by a funeral service at 4pm. Burial will take place later in the spring.
The Chapman-Moser Funeral Home has been entrusted with arrangements.
