Obituary of Herman Kimbrell, Jr.

Herman Aaron Kimbrell, Jr., known by many as "JR", 68, of Little Falls, NY, passed away unexpectedly on January 21, 2026, at Bassett Healthcare of Cooperstown, NY. 

JR was born on February 1, 1957, in Fort Polk, LA, the son of Herman Aaron Kimbrell and Odetta Smith Kimbrell, both of whom predeceased him. 

He was a Master Technician who owned and operated JR's Automotive in Little Falls, NY. 

Jr had lived in Little Falls since the 1980's, previously living in Anderson, SC.

He was baptised at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. In his spare time, he loved to watch NASCAR, go camping, fish, ride motorcycles, snowmobile, and be with friends and family. 

JR married his wife, Laurie Mosher, on May 28, 2009, in Little Falls, NY. 

His brother Richard Eugene Kimbrell predeceased him.

Survivors include his wife, Laurie Kimbrell, children, Aaron Kimbrell, Shelley Florian, Stacey Florian, Scott, and his wife, Kate Florian; grandchildren, Maureen, Anthony, Kiaira, Savannah, Jenna, Kathryn, Samantha, and Scott, Jr.; brothers Michael Kimbrell and Bobby Kimbrell; as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

The family will receive friends and relatives from 4:00-6:30 PM, on Friday, January 30th, 2026, at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. A Prayer Service will conclude the visitation at 6:30 PM, with the family gathering after to celebrate JR's life. 

Inurnment will take place at a later date at Ostrander Cemetery.
