Obituary of Helen Irene Johnson
Mrs. Helen I. Johnson, 93, of Dolgeville, NY, passed away on April 4, 2026, at Bassett Healthcare of Cooperstown, NY.
She was born on May 12, 1932, in Oppenheim, NY, the daughter of the late Newell Montana and Ida M. Bishop Montana.
She graduated on graduated from Oppenhein High School.
Helen was a mother and homemaker. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family, and her animals.
She married her husband, Donald Johnson. He passed away in 2018.
She was predeceased by her son Joel Johnson, on May 19, 2020, and all her siblings.
She is survived by her daughter Deborah Johnson of Maine, son Alan Johnson and his wife, Nadine of Oppenheim, NY, and daughter Kathie Walrath and her husband, Dean of Dolgeville, NY; grandchildren Jeremiah and his wife Becky Johnson, Justin Johnson and his signifagant other Veronica, Joseph Johnson and his signifigant other Jennifer, Mindy Johnson, Kristopher Walrath, Corey Walrath, and Kyle Walrath ; 3 great grandchildren, and a special niece.
A graveside will take place on Salisbury Rural Cemetery at a date to be announced.
