Obituary of Jane H. Malin
Ms. Jane H. Malin, 65, passed away December 28, 2022, at the Alpine Nursing and Rehab center, with her loving life partner Jack by her side.
She was born in Utica, NY on April 22, 1957, the daughter of Russell and Ruth Kiner Helterline, both of whom predeceased her.
Jane was educated at Dolgeville High School class of 1975. She continued her education at RIT, receiving a degree in Business management and Industrial Engineering.
Anyone who knew Jane said she was a true inspiration to all who met her. She was easily approachable, kind, non-judgmental, always encouraging others to be their best. Jane loved with all her heart and in return, everyone loved Jane.
Most recently she was the executive director for the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts, Executive Consultant for Bridge Consulting from 2013- retirement working with SRA International, ICL Limited, Kelsey Hayes, Chicago Pneumatic, Atlas Copo and Pragmatek.
She lived her entire life in the local area, and gave back to her community in many ways including board membership for the Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts, Valley Health Services, Central NY Valley for the Arts, and a past Dolgeville School Board member. She shared her love of education as a lecturer at the University of Scranton.
She was very active in her church, Emmanuel Episcopal Little Falls, especially enjoying singing and leading the church choir. She was known as a talented musician, whose voice was truly angelic.
She is survived by the love of her life, Jack Pyle; 4 step children whom she considered her own: Marguerite Lynch, Liane (Steven) Chlus, John (Gina) Malin, Julie (Jim) Fisher, Grandchildren, Victoria, Steven and Preston Lynch, Jared and Kevin Chlus, Ava and Luke Malin, Caleb and Andrew Fisher; Cousins Gail Bromley, Mark Foster; and second Cousins Kristen Wang, Chad Foster and Brent Foster.
She was predeceased by her sister, Linda Helterline, on August 6, 2022.
A memorial Service will be held on Friday May 12, 2023 at 4:00 PM, at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY 13365 for both Jane and her sister Linda. There will be a period of visitation from 2:00-4:00 prior to the memorial service. Burial will take place with their parents following the service.
