Obituary of William J. Gronosky

LITTLE FALLS William J. Gronosky 69 of 48 W. Gansevoort St., Little Falls passed away Monday, March 29, 2010 at St. Elizabeths Medical Center, Utica. He was born on December 31, 1940 in Cohoes, NY the son of the late John J. and Elizabeth (Taylor) Gronosky. He was a graduate of Little Falls High school class of 1960. Mr. Gronosky was a veteran of the Vietnam War serving with the US Army entering the service on September 24, 1962. He was honorably discharged as a Private First Class on August 31, 1968. He was united in marriage to his wife of 35 years the former Evelyn E. Vojtek on July 13, 1974 at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls as well as a member of the American Legion Post # 31, Little Falls and a life member of the S/Sgt. Steve Stefula Post # 4612 VFW, Little Falls. At one time he as an avid bowler belonging to several local leagues. Mr. Gronosky was employed for many years by the Remington Arms Co., Ilion, first as a machine operator and later by the assembly dept., retiring in 2003. He is survived by his wife Evelyn, his son William S. Gronosky, Little Falls, his daughter Krisel L. Gronosky, Little Falls and her companion Stephen B. Watson, his beloved granddaughter and the light of his life Kelina Burks, Little Falls, 3 brothers James (Jan) Gronosky, N. Carolina, John F. Gronosky, Little Falls and Patrick Jaquay, Dolgeville, a sister Shirley (Ronald) Walts, N. Carolina and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 1, 2010 at 10:00 am from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 512 E. Gansevoort Street, Little Falls. Interment will follow at Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls where military honors will be accorded. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Wednesday, March 31, 2010 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Thursday morning. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Gronosky be considered to the American Caner Society, PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057 or to the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 512 E. Gansevoort St., Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
