Obituary of Amelia L. Agne

LITTLE FALLS - Amelia L. Agne, 82, formerly of Mohawk, and more recently of the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home, Ilion where she has been a resident since July 2001. She was born on November 8, 1922 in Bethel, PA the daughter of the late Andrew, Sr. and Victoria (Wawrzak) Leshinski. She was educated in Pennsylvania schools. She was previously married to Ross W. Agne, Sr., who was the father of her children. Amelia was of the Methodist faith and was an avid reader. She enjoyed sharing recipes and stories of interest with her children. She inspired her family with her sense of humor and determination. Amelia Agne was employed as a housekeeper in private residences in Herkimer. She is survived by three sons: Ross W. Agne, Jr., his wife Nancy, and daughter Rachel of Utica, NY; Francis E. Agne, his wife Donna and sons Troy, Travis and Trevor of New Milford, CT; Bruce E. Agne and daughters April, Linna and Elysha of Advant, NC; and four daughters: Anne R. Seamon and her husband James of Richfield Springs, NY and her sons James Fresco and his wife Maria of Herkimer, NY; Francis Fresco, his wife Michaela and his daughter Meghan Desgrosielliers of Ilion, NY; Helen I. Cleveland, her husband James and sons Jesse, Douglas and Cale of Little Falls, NY; Arlene M. Wren and her husband Mark of Robbinston, ME; and, Ruth E. Agne and friend James Shepard of St. Johnsville, NY. She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Edwin and Andrew Jr. Leshinski, and her sisters Stella Keller, Carey Foster and Dorothy Leshinski and by her former husband Ross W. Agne, Sr., who died on January 20, 2005. Memorial services will be held on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. William Stubba, Newport officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 from 9-10 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
