Obituary of Alice S. Graudons

LITTLE FALLS Alice S. Graudons, 101 passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Wesley Health Care Center, Saratoga Springs, NY after a long illness. She was born on July 24, 1911 in Camden, NJ the daughter of the late John and Antoine (Sauer) Schneider. She resided most of her life in Little Falls and was educated in Little Falls Schools. She was united in marriage to her husband of 49 years Alfred F. Graudons on August 26, 1933. Mr. Graudons predeceased her on February 16, 1982. She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls. As well as a member and past Matron of the Auskerada, Maquaes, Rock City Chapter # 204, OES and an over 60 year member of the NYS Hairdressers Assn. Mrs. Graudons was a hairdresser operating a her shop out of her home for many years in Little Falls. She is survived by her loving family, son David (Janet) Graudons, Ballston Lake, NY, grandchildren Jeanne (Jeff) Lewis, Ballston Lake, Julie (Rob) Ezold, Clinton, TN, John (Laura) Graudons, Nashua, NH and James (Nicole) Graudons, Broadalbin, NY, great grandchildren Jaclynne, Jakob, Caroline, Kyrsten and Preston. She was predeceased by her brothers Frank and John Schneider and sisters Elsie Markwart and Rose Schneider. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm from the Christ Lutheran Church, 14 Petrie Street, Little Falls, with the Vicar Christin Fawcett officiating. The family will receive relatives and friends at the church prior to the memorial services. Interment took place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Graudons be considered to the Church Lutheran Church, 14 Petrie St., Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
