Allen D. (Chauncey) Petkovsek LITTLE FALLS - Allen D. (Chauncey) Petkovsek, 58 of 86 Moreland Street, Little Falls passed away unexpectedly Sunday, January 18, 2004 at Little Falls Hospital. He was born on October 6, 1945 in Little Falls the son of the late Anthony E. and Edith S. (Furlan) Petkovsek. He was educated at St. Mary's Academy and Little Falls High School. He was united in marriage to his wife of 34 years the former Maureen E. Reardon on February 21, 1970 at St. Mary's Church, Little Falls. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls. As well as a member of the Elk's Lodge # 42, B.P.O.E., Little Falls, the Salisbury Ridge Runners Club and the Polish Community Home, Little Falls. Mr. Petkovsek was a well known heavy equipment and crane operator having been employed in the construction industry at different times for the Falter Construction Co. Syracuse, Tioga Construction Co., Herkimer, T.J. Madden Co., Oriskany and last for the CCI Construction Co., Canastota, most recently he was self employed as a truck escort driver. He is survived by his wife Maureen, his son Luke Petkovsek and his wife Tracy, Little Falls and his son Jeffrey Miller and his wife Shelli, Oppenheim, his daughter Lynda J. Petkovsek, Little Falls and his daughter Elizabeth Petkovsek and her fiancé© Wayne Lynch, Oppenheim, his brother Philip C. (Pete) Petkovsek and his wife Ellen, Little Falls, his father and mother in law Patrick and Jean Reardon, Little Falls, 2 special grandchildren Samantha Marie and Claire Helen Petkovsek, and his other grandchildren Taylor and Lyndsey Lynch and James, Aaron and Karli Miller, his special nieces and nephews, several aunts, cousins and in - laws and many dear and close friends. He was predeceased by his sister Gladys Miller who died on November 22, 1986 and his brother in law James Miller, who died on September 1, 1986. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 22, 2004 at 10:15 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls and at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. of Main & John Str.'s, Little Falls where a mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Vail. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 21, 2004 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Thursday morning. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Petkovsek be considered to the American Cancer Society, 430 Court St. Suite 205, Utica, NY 13502 or to the Holy Family Parish, 763 E. Main St., Little Falls, NY 13365 Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
