Obituary of Andrea L. Blauvelt

ILION - Andrea L. Blauvelt, 53 of 17 Beech Street, Ilion passed away unexpectedly Friday, September 14, 2007 at her residence. She was born on September 23, 1953 in Little Falls the daughter of Nelda J. (Aubin) Cheney of Oppenheim and the late Merritt E. Cheney. She was a graduate of Oppenheim - Ephrata High School class of 1971 as well as a graduate of Herkimer County BOCES where she received her training as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was married at onetime to Douglas R. Blauvelt. On July 12, 2002 she was re united in marriage to Mitchell B. Neupert in Niagara Falls. Mrs. Blauvelt enjoyed her career as a LPN, she was employed in that capacity by the Mohawk Homestead, Mohawk and was employed at onetime by the former Herkimer County Hospice, St. Johnsville Nursing Home, Superior Home Healthcare and the Mohawk Valley Nursing Home. She is survived by her mother Nelda J. Cheney, Oppenheim, her husband Mike Neupert, Ilion, her daughter Renee Blauvelt - Day and her husband Bobby (Jackie) Day, Clarksville, TN, 3 brothers Gerard Cheney and his wife Kim, Elden Cheney and his wife Belinda and Neil Cheney all of Oppenheim, 2 sisters Janette Simpson, Virginia and Elaine Camp and her husband Carl, Fort Plain, her granddaughter Arionna J. Day and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father Merritt E. Cheney on March 23, 1978. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Wednesday, September 19, 2007 from 5-8 pm. Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 20, 2007 at 10:00 am at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills with her uncle Rev. Arthur Cheney officiating.
