Obituary of Ann G. Harris
LITTLE FALLS - Ann G. Harris, 79 of 88 W. Gansevoort St., Little Falls passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, June 17, 2009 at Little Falls Hospital.
She was born on July 8, 1929 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Jacob and Grace (Wright) Amacher. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School Class of 1947.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 26 years Richard Harris on April 2, 1949 at St. Pauls Universalist Church, Little Falls. Mr. Harris predeceased her on October 6, 1975.
She was a member of St. Pauls Universalist Church, Little Falls and the United Universalist Womens group of the church. As well as a life member of the Auskerada Maquaes Rock City Chapter # 204, OES, Dolgeville and the S/Sgt. Steve Stefula Post # 4612, VFW, Ladies Auxiliary, Little Falls. She was an avid card player who especially enjoyed playing poker with her friends. For many years she sponsored a child from the Philippines through the Children International Organization. She was also an avid fan of the LA Lakers and Tiger Woods.
Mrs. Harris was employed over the years by the former Allegro Shoe Corp., and Neisner's Dept. Store, Little Falls. She was last employed as a sales clerk for the former Cranberry Candle Card Shop, Little Falls.
She is survived by her son Andrew R. Harris and his wife Mary, Little Falls, 3 daughters Karen Girmonde, Little Falls, Susan Vo and her husband Nghia, Merced, CA and Robin Sadlon and her husband Alan, Little Falls, 8 grandchildren R. Brook Girmonde, Andrew and Adam Vo, Heather, Lindsey and Alan Sadlon, A. Richard and Allison Harris and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Patricia Davis in August of 2007.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Deacon Joseph DeLorenzo, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, Town of Little Falls.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday, June 19, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm and to attend the funeral services Saturday morning.
