Obituary of Arlene R. Kvenvik

LITTLE FALLS - Arlene R. Kvenvik, 72 of 96 King Street, Little Falls passed away Sunday, November 5, 2006 at St. Luke's Memorial Hospital, New Hartford. She was born on September 6, 1934 in Brooklyn, NY the daughter of the late Robert and Margaret (Nelson) Baker. She was educated at Dewey High School, Brooklyn, NY and attended Lehman College, Bronx, NY She was united in marriage to her husband of 53 years Allen M. Kvenvik on March 21, 1953 in Indiana. She is a member of the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls as well as a member of the Christian Women's Association, Little Falls. She also served as a volunteer and one time manager of the Little Falls Food Pantry and was a former Cub Scout leader. She was and avid lover of animals and strongly supported the Community Animal Program, (CAP), Little Falls. Mrs. Kvenvik was primarily a home maker but was employed at onetime as the receiving manager for the Fieldston School in Riverdale, NY, retiring after 15 years of service. A beloved wife, mother and grandmother she is survived by her husband Allen, 2 sons Michael A. Kvenvik, Richmond, VA and Allen R. Kvenvik, Little Falls, 5 daughters Margaret A. Kellum and her husband Stonewall, Glen Allen, VA, Donna E. Villeneuve and her husband Bruce, St. Johnsville, Janet and her husband David, Cynthia A. Trotta and her husband Kenneth, New Rochelle, NY and Jennifer R. Boepple and her husband Chad, Little Falls, a sister Patricia A. Spanburgh and her husband Robert, Hallandale, FL, 13 grandchildren Michael, Courtney and Robert Kvenvik, Steven Gomez, Adam Baumann, Shelby and Stone Kellum, Bruce Villeneuve and his wife Charity, Allison Villeneuve, Erin and her husband Brandon, Bradley, Kristian and Katie Boepple, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Donald and Robert Baker. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2006 at 10:30 from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Anthony Ligato, Pastor of the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Wednesday morning. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Kvenvik be considered to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
