Obituary of Arthur M. Taylor

LITTLE FALLS - Arthur M. Taylor, 73 of 589 E. Gansevoort Street, Little Falls passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica. He was born on May 14, 1933 in West Winfield, NY the son of the late William and Alice (Monk) Taylor. He was educated in West Winfield schools. He was united in marriage to his wife of 52 years the former Phyllis Wilson on November 27, 1954 at the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls. Mr. Taylor was employed for over 30 years as a machine tender for the Burrows Paper Corp., Little Falls. He was also well known for his house painting, lawn care and general handyman work for many homes in Little Falls. He is survived by his wife Phyllis, 2 sons Peter A. Taylor, Little Falls and David A. Taylor and his life partner Richard L. Vogt, Little Falls, a daughter Susan McLain, Newport, Oregon, 2 brothers Edward Taylor and his wife Blanche, Litchfield, NY and Derson Taylor and his wife Sonja, Arkansas, a sister Carol Burns, Leesburg, FL, 2 grandsons Justin McLain, Little Falls and Michael McLain, Newport, Oregon, 2 great grandchildren Hanna and Benjamin McLain and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls in the spring with the Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, Rector of the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls officiating. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Taylor be considered to the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 588 Albany Street, Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
