Obituary of Barbara A. Jaquay
SALISBURY Barbara A. Jaquay, 54 of 3038 State Route 29, Dolgeville passed away Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Faxton St. Lukes Hospital, New Hartford.
She was born on July 14, 1954 in Herkimer the daughter of the late William B. and Eva (Helen) G. (Flanagan) Baker. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School class of 1973.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 36 years Patrick G. Jaquay on June 30, 1973 in the Town of Danube.
She was a member of the Curtiss Corners Stone Chapel, Salisbury where she served as Sunday school teacher.
Mrs. Jaquay was very fond of animals and enjoyed being involved in her childrens and grandchildrens lives serving as a Girl Scout leader and soccer coach. She also enjoyed doing different craft projects.
She was employed over the years by the former Daniel Green Co., Dolgeville, the Big M Supermarket, Dolgeville, the Gen. Herkimer Home Historic Site, Danube, Lyndon Lyon Greenhouse, Dolgeville and for many years she was a home care aide through Catholic Charities. She was last employed as a Veterinary Technician by the Johnstown Animal Hospital.
A beloved wife, mother and grandmother she is survived by her husband Patrick, her 2 sons Patrick S. Jaquay and his wife Gina, Dolgeville and Scott G. Jaquay and his wife Amanda, Little Falls, her daughter Crystal Vandenberg and her husband Andrew, Herkimer, her adoring 6 grandchildren who were her world; Kyla, Talan and Tanner Jaquay, Samantha, Preston and Candace Vandenberg.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Rodney Congdon, Pastor of the Curtiss Corners Stone Chapel officiating. Interment will take place in Salisbury Rural Cemetery, Town of Salisbury.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 from 9-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
