John Bilek LITTLE FALLS - John Bilek, 85 of Nulls Road, Little Falls passed away Thursday, December 11, 2003 at Albany Medical Center, Albany where he had been a patient since September 25, 2003. He was born on October 7, 1918 in Little Falls the son of the late Jacob and Catherine (Koloch) Bilek. He was educated in Little Falls Schools. He was united in marriage to his wife of 64 years the former Theresa Bryn on December 23, 1939. Mr. Bilek was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Army. Entering the service on May 28, 1943. He served with the 69th Headquarters Detachment as a Surgical Technician in the European Theater. He was honorably discharged as a Technician 5th grade on December 3, 1945. He was employed at onetime by General Electric Co., Utica in the quality control department. He was later employed in the electrical engineering department of the former Cogar Corp., Utica until his retirement. He is survived by his wife Theresa, his sister Helen Eskoff and her husband George, Little Falls and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Charles Bilek and 4 sisters Martha Baum, Pauline Peterson, Anne Loucks and Mary Bachorik. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will take place in Mt. View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls in the spring. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls.
