Obituary of Wilfred H. Boyer

DOLGEVILLE Wilfred H. Boyer, 65 of 14 Slawson St., Dolgeville and for the past five years a resident of the Masonic Care Community, Utica passed away Saturday, December 15, 2007 at that residence. He was born on April 13, 1942 in Little Falls the son of the late William F. and Ethel (Green) Boyer. He was educated in Dolgeville schools. He was united in marriage to his wife of 44 years the former Donna L. Darling, on March 2, 1963 at the United Methodist Church, Dolgeville. Mr. Boyer was a veteran of the US Army. Entering the service on January 31, 1962 and was stationed at Ft. Campbell, KY. He was honorably discharged on May 15, 1963. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and outdoorsman, He especially enjoyed working around his home and spending time going for coffee and visiting with his family and friends, and most importantly riding horses, camping, and going for long car rides with his wife and daughters. Mr. Boyer was employed for many years as a truck driver. He was last employed in that capacity for Ferdula Excavating, Frankfort. He is survived by his wife Donna, 3 daughters Billie Jo Boyer, Dolgeville, Kelleen (Kelly) Neisler and her husband Michael, Cocoa, FL and Lisa Bellinger and her husband David, Jr., Dolgeville, 2 sisters Pauline LeFave and her husband Arthur, Little Falls and Hattie Smith and her husband Harold, Lasselsville, 8 grandchildren Scott Youker, Tabitha Gibbens, Robert Satmyer, Rakell Gibbens, Nicole Bellinger, David Bellinger, III, Miranda Duncan and Mikayla Neisler and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 bothers William F. Boyer and by Ernest Boyer and his wife Julia, 3 sisters Ila Willoughby and her husband Harold, Shirley Reff and her husband Norman and Bertha Mosier and her husband Daniel. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 at 7:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Joseph Chamberlin, Pastor of the First Assembly of God Church, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Curtiss Cemetery, Town of Salisbury in the spring where Full Military Honors will be accorded. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, December 18, 2007 4-7 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Boyer be considered to the Alzheimers Assn of Central New York, 441 Kirkpatrick St., Syracuse, NY 13204 or to the Masonic Care Community, 2150 Bleeker St., Utica, NY 13501. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
