Obituary of Carol A. Schmidt

DOLGEVILLE - Carol A. Schmidt� 56 of 1 Gibson Street, Dolgeville passed away Sunday, September 5, 2004 at University Hospital, Syracuse following a brief illness. She was born on July 6, 1948 in Little Falls the daughter of Loris R. (Mosher) Howard, Dolgeville and the Late Daniel C. Howard. She was a graduate of Dolgeville High School Class of 1966. Mrs. Schmidt was presently employed as the accounts receivable clerk for the Gehring - Tricot Co., Dolgeville. She was previously employed for over 30 years in that same capacity of the former Daniel Green Co., Dolgeville. She was also the owner and operator of Carol's Wash & Dry Laundromat on Gibson Street, Dolgeville for the past 16 years. She is survived by her mother Lois R. Howard, Dolgeville, her daughter Heidi M. Schmidt, Little Falls, 2 brothers Brian D. Howard and his wife Veronica, St. Johnsville and Tracey J. Howard and his wife Tammy, Little Falls, and a sister Diane M. Scheuerman and her husband Harry, Salisbury Center. She was predeceased by her father Daniel C. Howard on December 27, 1997. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 9, 2004 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Thursday morning. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Schmidt be considered to the Carol A. Schmidt Memorial Fund c/o Dolgeville High School, Slawson Street, Dolgeville, NY 13329. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
