Obituary of - Carole Shibley Turturo

LITTLE FALLS - Carole Shibley Turturo, 66, of Little Falls, passed peacefully Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at Cooperstown Hospital, surrounded by her loving family and friends. Carole was born in Salisbury to the late Howard and Laura Shibley on August 3, 1943. Carole was a loving mother and wife. She had a love for spending time with family and friends, doing crafts and puzzles, enjoyed flowers of all varieties and liked spending time at her camp at Caroga Lake. She is survived by her husband, Joseph Turturo, of Little Falls; daughter, Deborah Perry Illich, of Little Falls; sons, Robert Gene Perry, of Las Vegas, NV, Raymond Scott Perry and his wife, Sandy, of Nelliston, and Victor Turturo, of Coxsackie; grandchildren, Michelle Illich, of Pensacola, FL, Ronald Illich, of Biloxi, MS, Amber Illich, of Little Falls, and Anthony Turturo, of Little Falls; sister, Susan Hicks and her husband, Larry, of Fonda; brothers, David Shibley and his wife, Winnie, of Dolgeville, Roger Shibley, of Little Falls, and Steven Shibley and his companion, Deb, of Little Falls; sister-in-law, Donna Shibley, of Fort Plain; sister-in-law, Barb Cooley, of Little Falls; and brother-in-law, David Countryman, of Gloversville. She has two great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Paul Shibley and Gary Shibley, and sister, Mary Countryman. A memorial service will be held at Curtis Cornerstone Chapel in Curtis, NY, at noon on Saturday, January 30, 2010. Family and friends are welcome to join us in the celebration of her life.
