Charles L. Jenison
LITTLE FALLS - Charles L. Jenison, 79 of 760 E. Monroe Street, Ext., (Valley View Courts) Apt.# F-6, Little Falls and since October of 2002 a resident the Van Allen Nursing Home, Little Falls passed away Sunday, September 14, 2003 at Little Falls Hospital.
He was born on December 24, 1923 in Salisbury Center the son of the late Charles and Pearl (Moore) Jenison. He was educated in Salisbury Rural Schools.
He was united in marriage to the former Martha C. Burdick on August 3, 1946 at the Salisbury Untied Methodist Church parsonage with the Rev. J. Martin Weck officiating.
Mr. Jenison was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Army. Entering the service on March 2, 1943 in Utica. He served with the 3727th Quartermaster Truck Co.. He was honorably discharged as a Private First Class on December 23, 1945 at Ft. Dix, NJ.
He was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, Salisbury Center and the Stratford Vol. Fire Dept.
Mr. Jenison was employed for over 25 years in the gluing department of North Hudson Woodcraft, Dolgeville. Retiring in 1985.
He is survived by his wife Martha, 2 sons Douglas C. Jenison and his wife Sarah, and David A. Jenison, both of Salisbury Center, 2 daughters Marsha L. Burdick and her husband Ellrey, Geronimo, OK and Stacay J. Juba and her husband William, Rochester, a brother Lewis Jenison, Saratoga Springs, 12 grandchildren, 4 great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 3 brothers George, Earl and Donald Jenison and by 2 sisters Leona Foster and Mary Johnson.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 18, 2002 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with William Juba son in law of Mr. Jenison officiating. Interment will take place in Curtis Cemetery, Town of Salisbury.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, September 17, 2003 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Thursday morning.
