Obituary of Dora L. Daley

DOLGEVILLE- Dora L. Daley, 64, of 53 South Main Street, Parkside Court, Dolgeville passed away Thursday, October 7, 2010 at Little Falls Hospital, Little Falls. She was born on August 5, 1946 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Lucian and Louise (Chrisman) Barnes. She was educated in the Stratford School. She was united in marriage to her husband of 39 years the late David J. Daley on May 31, 1970 at the Salisbury United Methodist Church parsonage by the Rev. Dolan then pastor. Mr. Daley predeceased her on November 26, 2009. Mrs. Daley was employed by many area factories throughout the valley. For several years Mrs. Daley enjoyed working at Lyndon Lyon Greenhouse and cleaning homes of many local residents of Dolgeville. Mrs. Daley looked forward each week to playing Bingo with her sister Doris and Gloria. Her love of Bingo lead her to start Bingo Night for the residence of Parkside Court. She is survived by 3 daughters Kathy Perkins and her husband Allan (Skip), Dolgeville, Theresa Austin and her husband David, Stratford, Misty Bowen and her husband Patrick, Dolgeville, 2 step sons David Randazzo and his wife Diane, Alder Creek, Donald Randazzo and his wife Joanne, NC, 3 brothers Carl A. Barnes and his wife Judith, Oppenheim, David Barnes and his wife Sharon, Dolgeville, Thomas Barnes and his wife Mary Ann, Dolgeville, 2 sisters Gloria Greene and her husband Jessie, Utica, Doris J. Healey, Dolgeville, 2 brother-in-laws Timothy Daley and his wife Patricia, St. Johnsville, Daniel Daley, St. Johnsville, 14 grandchildren Donald Jr., Christy, Leanne, Jason Randazzo, Mallory, Korey Perkins, Kaitlin, Kirk Daley, David Jr., Frank, Shianne Austin, Megan, Emily Brewer, Patrick Bowen, 4 great grandchildren Linkon Randazzo, Christian, Joshua Jacobson, Michael Deidrich and several nieces and nephews. Mrs. Daley was predeceased by a sister Carol Aldrich on September 1, 1997. Funeral services will be held on Sunday, October 10, 2010 at 3 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Roger Waldron, Pastor of the Salisbury United Methodist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Stratford Cemetery, Stratford at convenience of the family. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Sunday, October 10, 2010 from 1-3 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow.
