LITTLE FALLS - Dorothy A. Schwiler, 90 of 331 Ritter Road, Little Falls, passed away unexpectedly Friday, April 18, 2008, at her residence. She was born on March 4, 1918, in the town of Little Falls, the daughter of the late John and Theresa (Farber) Nickerson. She was a graduate of Dolgeville, class of 1936. She was united in marriage to the late Richard Gressler, who predeceased her in 1953. She than married the late Wilson G. Schwiler on August 28, 1954, in St. Josephs Church, Dolgeville. Mr. Schwiler predeceased her on July 17, 1995. Mrs. Schwiler was employed for 29 years at the former Allegro Shoe Corp., Little Falls and was last employed for 9 years by Van Allen Nursing Home, Little Falls in the house keeping department. She is survived by a sister Helen Eaker, Dolgeville; 6 grandchildren Mary Jo Kersey and her husband Michael, Robert Gressler and his wife Shiela, all of Texas, Richard Gressler, Little Falls; Edward, John and Sandra Sklarz; 8 great grandchildren; a special niece Clara Jorrey along with several other nieces and nephews and a very good friend Nechia Dieffenbacher. She was predeceased by a son Robert Gressler; a grandson Thomas Gressler; 3 brothers Richard Ploss, Donald and Willard Nickerson. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2008 at 1:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, with the Rev. Becky Laird, pastor of the United Methodist Church, Dolgeville officiating. Interment will take place in St. Marys Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Monday, April 21, 2008 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Tuesday afternoon.
