Obituary of Dorothy A. Pelzer
LITTLE FALLS - Dorothy A. Pelzer, 92 of Church Street, Little Falls passed away Sunday, June 16, 2013 at the home of her son Larry in Poughkeepsie following a brief illness.
She was born on October 3, 1920 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna (Gower) Stallman. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School class of 1939.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 22 years Henry A. Pelzer on May 8, 1943 at the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls. Mr. Pelzer predeceased her on March 21, 1966.
Mrs. Pelzer was and active member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls including the Adult Fellowship and Church Choir.
For 15 years she was employed in the packing department of the former Allegro Shoe Corp., Little Falls retiring in 1982.
She is survived by her sons Larry Pelzer and his wife Margaret, Poughkeepsie, NY and Robert Pelzer, Syracuse, her son in law Tim Neuhaus, Johnstown, NY, 6 grandchildren Matthew Pelzer, Jennifer Pelzer and her fiancé© Ryan Kabat, Christopher Pelzer and his wife Kelsey, Tim Neuhaus, Amanda Neuhaus and Jason Neuhaus and her beloved great granddaughter Matthew Pelzers daughter, Riley Jane Pelzer. She was predeceased by her daughter Gail Neuhaus in 2002, her son Gary A. Pelzer in 2003 and by her sister Elsie Stallman in 1966.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Vicar Christin Fawcett officiating. Interment will take place in Mt. View memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday, June 21, 2013 from 9-10 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
