Obituary of Edmund L. Creedon

LITTLE FALLS - Edmund L. Creedon, 87 of 22 Pierce Street, Little Falls passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 31, 2008 at his residence. He was born on May 29, 1920 in Little Falls the son of the late Michael J. and Mary (Waldron) Creedon. A life long resident of Little Falls he was a graduate of St. Marys Academy. He was united in marriage to his wife of 65 years the former Esther Siglin on June 14, 1942 at St. Josephs Church, Dolgeville. He was a member of the Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls where he was well known for his singing for over 60 years. Mr. Creedon was employed during World War II, by the former Savage Arms Co., Utica after the war he was the owner and operator of Creedons Tire Service, Little Falls for 25 years. He was last employed as a mail carrier for the US Postal Service, Little Falls. He is survived by his wife Esther, 8 daughters Elaine Davis and her husband Ernest, Middleville, Mary Sagatis, Little Falls, Sharon Ciano and her husband Robert, California, Esther (Peg) Sadekoski and her husband Duane, Idaho, Katie Guy and her husband John Dolgeville, Rose Scanlon and her husband Michael, Herkimer, Rita Carlson and her husband Brad, Cold Brook and Eileen Creedon, Albany, 5 sons Michael Creedon, California, Sean Creedon and his wife Anna, California, Ronan Creedon and his wife Teresa, Little Falls Patrick Creedon and his wife Lynn, Little Falls and Richard Creedon and his wife Cher California, 2 sisters Eileen (Sister Mary Ronan) Creedon, Albany and Rita Kreinberg, Colorado, a brother Theodore Creedon, Oregon, 46 grandchildren, 40 Great Grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter Theresa Creedon. A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2008 at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main & John Sts, Little Falls with the Rev. Anthony Ligato officiating. Interment will take place in St. Marys Cemetery, Town of Herkimer at the convenience of the family later in the spring. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours. It is the wish of the family that masses be said in his memory.
