Obituary of Eleanor S. Connolly
Little Falls- Eleanor S. Connolly, 86 formerly of Kuyrkendall Kourts, Little Falls, passed away on Thursday, April 5, 2007 at Van Allen Nursing Home, where she has been a resident since July 2005.
She was born on August 29, 1920 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Frank and Martha (Grose) Roberts. She was educated in the Little Falls Schools.
She was united in marriage to her husband James P. Connolly on January 8, 1946 in the St. Mary's Parish House, Little Falls with Rev. Noonan. Mr. Connolly predeceased her on September 20, 1982.
Mrs. Connolly was member of the St. Paul's Universalist Church in Little Falls where she was a member of the Women's Choir. She was also a life member of the Little Falls American Legion Post No. 31. Mrs. Connolly enjoyed the families camp in Piseco Lake and was avid at crochet, knitting and baking.
Mrs. Connolly was employed for 25 years as a Floor Supervisor at the former Little Falls Footwear, Inc., where she retired in 1985.
She is survived by her daughter Jean Fogarty, a sister Betty Marino, two grandsons Andrew Fogarty, Little Falls and Shawn Benson and wife Eve, two great grandchildren Sara Joan and Nathan Benson, OK., two nephews Michael Marino and wife Ann, NYC and Robert Marino and wife Darlene, FL. and several great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Joan Benson, who passed away on March 14, 1994.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 10, 2007 at 10:00 am from the St. Paul's Universalist Church, 565 Albany Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Kimberly Miner officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 North Ann Street, Little Falls on Monday, April 9, 2007 from 5-7 pm and to attend the funeral services Tuesday morning.
In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Connolly be considered to the Disabled American Veterans, 344 West Genesee Street, Syracuse, NY., 13202. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
