Obituary of Elizabeth (Betty) Senft
LITTLE FALLS - Elizabeth (Betty) Senft, 92 formerly 85 N. William Street, Little Falls passed away Monday, October 12, 2009 at the Alpine Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, Little Falls where she had been a resident since June of 2007.
She was born on August 20, 1917 in Herkimer the daughter of the late Daniel and Anna (Cizmar) Peknik. She was educated in Herkimer schools. She was united in marriage to her husband of 64 years Reinhold L. Senft on September 1, 1939 at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Herkimer. Mr. Senft predeceased her on November 26, 2003.
Mrs. Senft was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls and was active in the Altar Guild and the Ladies Aid Society of the church for many years. She was also a ember of the S/Sgt. Steve Stefula Post # 4612 VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Little Falls and the Rock City Senior Citizens.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law Susan and Charles Crimmins, Little Falls, 3 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren Erica Wheet and her husband Toby and their children Jakob, Natalie and Colton, Little Falls, Sarah Harrer and her husband Joseph and their children Dylan and Chase, Little Falls and Laura Nichols and her children Noah, Logan and Mia, Little Falls, several nieces and nephews including her special niece and her husband Marilyn and Gary Pierce, Little Falls. She was predeceased by 4 brothers Daniel, John, Steven and Paul Peknik.
Memorial services will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2009 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Deacon Jay Berry of the Christ Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will follow in Mt. View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, October 17, 2009 from 9-10 am and to attend the services to follow.
