Obituary of Elizabeth F. Windecker
INGHAMS MILLS- Elizabeth F. Windecker, 91 formerly of 455 Inghams Mills Road, Little Falls passed away Saturday, July 9, 2011 at Valley Health Services where she has been a resident since April 1, 2011.
She was born on May 28, 1920 in Little Falls the daughter of the late W. Harold and Bessie (Brown) Ferguson. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School, class of 1938.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 61 years Robert John Windecker on June 2, 1941 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls. Mr. Windecker predeceased her on December 27, 2002.
Mrs. Windecker was a member of Emmanuel Episcopal Church, Little Falls where she at one time sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She was a member of Mohawk Valley Squares.
Mrs. Windecker was employed for over 25 years as a Clerical Secretary at Daniel Green Shoe Company, Dolgeville. She retired in 1985.
She is survived by 2 sons William Earl Windecker Sr., Oppenheim, Robert John Windecker Jr., Little Falls, a daughter Barbara Anne Daley, Dolgeville, 2 sisters Natalie Quinn and her husband Earl, Little Falls, Eleanor Cook, Little Falls, 5 grandchildren William E. Windecker Jr. and his wife Deanna, Matthew R. Windecker and his wife Susan, Michelle Irwin and her husband Tim, Arthur L. Daley III and his wife Chrissy, Christine R. Julian, 9 great grandchildren William E. Windecker III, Reese Windecker, Ainsley Irwin, Braeden Irwin, Keain Irwin, Ashley Nicole Julian, Kayleen Marie Julian, Christopher Paul Julian, Mercedes Lynn Windecker, a great great grandson Devin Windecker and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Lois Jean Upson April 21, 2011, a granddaughter Katherine Marie Upson and a brother Willard Harold Ferguson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at 10:00 am from the Emmanuel Episcopal Church, 588 Albany Street, Little Falls with Rev. Dr. Steven A. Scarcia, Rector officiating. Interment will follow in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Wednesday morning.
