Obituary of Emily R. Wagner

LITTLE FALLS A� Emily R. Wagner, 82 formerly of 912 Creek Road, Little Falls (Town of Danube) passed away Saturday, January 8, 2011 at the Alpine Rehab. & Nursing Center, Little Falls where she had been a resident since May of 2009. She was born on September 19, 1928 in Little Falls the daughter of the late August M. Gloskey and Adelia T. (Pavalock) Gloskey Atkinson. She was educated in Oppenheim Rural Schools. She was united in marriage to her husband of 44 years Alexander G. Wagner on August 23, 1947 at the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls. Mr. Wagner predeceased her on August 17, 1991. Mrs. Wagner along with her husband Alexander owned and operated the Smokey Hollow Farm in Indian Castle. The couple also raised over 50 foster children during their many years together. She was a former member of the National Farmers Organization. She is survived by a son Karl (Linda) Wagner, Indian Castle, a foster son Douglas Primeau, Indian Castle with whom she resided for many years, two daughters Yvonne (Steve) Slabe and Melissa (Marty )Roy, both of Little Falls, two brothers August (Bonnie) Gloskey, Krings Ferry, NY and Richard (Beverly) Gloskey, Canajoharie, a sister Karen (Alan) Perkins, Stratford, six grandchildren Robert, Stephanie, Christine and Michael Wagner, Adam and Nicole Roy and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at 6:00 pm from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. Interment will take place in Mt. View Memorial Gardens, Town of Little Falls in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 from 4-6 pm and to attend the funeral services to follow.
