Obituary of Esther S. Creedon

LITTLE FALLS Esther S. Creedon, 90 of 22 Pierce Street, Little Falls passed away Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at her residence. She was born on May 30, 1922 in Dolgeville, the daughter of the late Jerome W and Inez (Kelly) Siglin. She was a graduate of Dolgeville Central School. She was united in marriage to her husband of 65 years Edmund L. Creedon on June 14, 1942 at St. Josephs Church, Dolgeville. Mr. Creedon predeceased her on March 31, 2008. Since her marriage Mrs. Creedon has resided in Little Falls as a homemaker. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls, where she was a Rosarian. She was well known in the parish for her singing alongside her husband for over 60 years. She is survived by: eight daughters, Elaine Davis and Ernest, Middleville; Mary Sagatis, Little Falls; Sharon Ciano and Robert, California; Esther (Peg) Sadekoski and Duane, Idaho; Katie Guy and John, Dolgeville; Rose Scanlon and Michael, Herkimer; Rita Carlson and Brad, Cold Brook; and Eileen Creedon, Fultonville; and five sons, Michael Creedon and Jane, California; Sean Creedon and Anna, California; Ronan Creedon and Teresa, Little Falls; Patrick Creedon and Lynn, Little Falls; and Richard Creedon and Cher, California; and 46 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, one special great great granddaughter Lindsey, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Edmund, daughter Theresa Creedon, brother Jerome Siglin, and sisters Harriet Dineen and Eleanor Gianini. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 3 at 11:00 am at the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main & John Sts, Little Falls with the Rev. Thomas Lawless officiating. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Creedon be considered to Hospice & Palliative Care, 4277 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413 or a Mass Card. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
