Obituary of Faith S. Vogt

LITTLE FALLS - Faith S. Vogt, 65 of 28 Petrie Street, Little Falls passed away Saturday, January 29, 2011 at Faxton - St. Luke's Hospital, New Hartford. She was born on January 8, 1946 in Fort Covington, NY the daughter of the late Leo E. and Helen C. (Collette) Snyder. She was a graduate of St. Lawrence Central School, Brasher Falls, NY, Class of 1964 as well as a graduate of SUNY Morrisville Class of 1966 with a AS Degree in Food Service Administration. She was united in marriage to her husband of 40 years Joseph W. Vogt on February 8, 1969 in North Lawrence, NY. Mr. Vogt predeceased her on January 15, 2009. She was a member of the Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls and the Rosarians of that church. Mrs. Vogt was employed as the Asst. Manager of the Dietary Dept. of Little Falls Hospital, retiring after 30 years of service. She is survived by her son Leo J. Vogt and Monica Friesner, Bloomfield, NY, her daughters Stephanie M. Dyer, Little Falls and Wendy K. Kanner (Michael), Bedminster, NJ, 3 sisters Joyce Riley, Malone, NY, Maxine Jock, North Lawrence, NY and Melody Antanavige (Richard), New Hartford, NY, 7 grandchildren Patrick and Alexis Dyer, Samantha Kanner, Kyler and Mackenzie Friesner and Austin and Hunter Vogt, several in laws including Edwin & Joan Vogt, Little Falls, godchildren Caitlin Antanavige and Kimberly McKnight and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Raymond C. Snyder and a sister Harriett M. Gushea. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main & John St.'s, Little Falls where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Lawless. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no public calling hours. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Vogt be considered to the Little Falls Food Pantry, c/o Little Falls YMCA, 15 Jackson St., Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
