Obituary of Frances L. Hooks

FINDLAY, OHIO - Frances L. Hooks, 85 of 1025 Woodside Drive, Findlay, OH 45840, formerly of Little Falls passed away on Friday, February 6, 2009 at Lakewood Hospital, Ohio. She was born on April 16, 1923 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Victor and Elsie (Piszkin) Jasewicz. She was educated at Little Falls High School. She was united in marriage to her husband of 65 years John F. Hooks on June 1, 1944 at St. Marys Church, Little Falls. She and her husband have resided in Findlay, OH for the past 48 years. Mrs. Hooks retired from RCA in Findlay, Ohio in 1985, after 24 years of service. She was a faithful member of St. Michael Church of the Arch Angel Parish in Findlay, OH and enjoyed bird watching. She had a soft spot in her heart for animals, and loved music and polka dancing. She was the beloved wife of John F.; loving mother of Dr.Thomas Hooks and his wife Anna Marie, Olympia, WA; Jeanne Brohl, Rocky River, OH; William Hooks and his wife Nancy, Findlay, OH and Aileen Donley and her husband Ray, Austin, TX; 4 brothers William Jasewicz and his wife Beatrice, Perth; Victor Jasewicz; Albert Jasewicz and his wife Lillian; and Stanley Jasewicz all of Little Falls, 2 sisters Theresa Snell and her husband Harold, Little Falls; and Helen Korona and her husband Albert, Amsterdam; dear grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 17. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Joseph and Donald Jasewicz and by 2 sisters Ann Willman and Mary Jasewicz. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2009 at 10:30 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls and at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Corner Main & John St.s, Little Falls where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Anthony Ligato. Interment will take place in St. Marys Cemetery, Town of Herkimer. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Tuesday, February 10, 2009 form 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Wednesday morning. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Hooks be considered to the Holy Family Parish Church, 763 E. Main St., Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for the purpose.
