Obituary of Fred A. Kaiser
LITTLE FALLS - Fred A. Kaiser, 82 of 369 W. Monroe Street, Little Falls passed from this life into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, May 5, 2007 at his residence.
He was born on April 14, 1925 in New York City the son of the late Frederick and Helen (McGrath) Kaiser. He was a graduate of Jamaica, NY High School, class of 1943. He was also a graduate of the Aviation Institute of Technology, class of 1944.
He was united in marriage to his wife of 50 years the former Lillian Malavasic on July 27, 1956 in Dallas, TX.
Mr. Kaiser was a veteran of World War II having served his country in two branches of the service. In 1943 he enlisted in the US Navy, upon his honorable discharge on August 21, 1946 as a Seaman Second Class, he enlisted in the US Army Air Corps., where he served as an Aviation Mechanic. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant on February 4, 1948.
Mr. Kaiser attended the First Baptist Church, Little Falls.
He was employed by American Airlines as a senior mechanic and later as a Flight Engineer and Pilot leaving that position in 1959. From 1960 to 1963 he and his wife Lillian owned and operated three laundromats in Bayside, LI, NY. From 1965 to 1967 he was employed as a Flight Engineer and Pilot by Universal Airlines. He was last employed from 1968 to 1986 as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer by the former Mohawk Data Sciences Corp. (MDS), Herkimer.
After his retirement in 1986, he spent much of his time making his own financial investments. He was also an avid reader who especially enjoyed mystery novels.
He is survived by his wife Lillian, Little Falls, his daughter Helen Pawluk and her fiancé© Gordon Coleman, a sister Gloria McGay, Long Island, NY, his beloved grandson Andrew Pawluk, Little Falls and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2007 at 10:00 am from the First Baptist Church, 555 Albany St., Little Falls. Interment will take place in Fairview Cemetery, town of Little Falls where Full Military Honors will be accorded.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Tuesday, May 8, 2007 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Wednesday morning.
In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Kaiser be considered to the First Baptist Church, 555 Albany St., Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
