Obituary of George W. Hopp
ESPERENCE- George W. Hopp, Sr., 73 of Esperence Road, Esperence, NY formerly of Carmel passed away Friday, September 21, 2007, at St. Mary's Hospital, Amsterdam where he had been a patient since September 17, 2007.
He was born on February 6, 1934 in Mineola, NY the son of the late Joseph and Edna Hopp. He was educated in Long Island Schools.
He was united in marriage to his wife of 53 years the former Camille A. Sasso on April 24, 1954 in Long Island.
He was of the Catholic faith.
Mr. Hopp was employed at onetime by Grand Union Stores warehouse, for many years as a custodian and bus driver for the Carmel School District, the Lloyd Lumber Co., Brewster, and the First Choice Construction Co., Wappingers Falls. He was last employed by the Wal-Mart Distribution Center, Sharon Springs.
He is survived by his wife Camille, his 2 sons George W. Hopp, Jr. and his wife Lori, Esperence and Michael J. Hopp and his wife Tammy, New Milford, CN, his daughter Maria Helmer, Little Falls, his brother Joseph Hopp and his wife Mary Lou, Levittown, LI, NY, 6 grandchildren and 2 nieces.
Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls, NY.
