Obituary of Harry F. Scheid
LITTLE FALLS - Harry F. Scheid, 72 of Garden Street, Little Falls passed away Sunday, October 30, 2011 at the Bassett Medical Center, Cooperstown.
He was born on October 12, 1939 in Lancaster, PA the son of the late Harry U. and M. Regina (Trauger) Scheid. He was educated in Lancaster, PA schools.
Mr. Scheid was united in marriage to his wife of 26 years the former Judith A. James on March 8, 1982 in Lancaster, PA. Mrs. Scheid predeceased him on October 24, 2008.
He was employed for 25 years as a supervisor for High Steel Structures, Lancaster, PA. following his retirement he was employed at onetime by the West End Liquor Store and Pohligs Enterprise both of Little Falls and for 10 years as a Crossing Guard for the Little Falls City School District.
Mr. Scheid enjoyed fishing and working around the yard of his home.
He is survived by his three sons Harry F. Scheid, III (Alicia), Lititz, PA, Anthony Scheid (Sharon), New Holland, PA and Perry Scheid (Wendy) Lititz, PA, a stepson Louis Varricchio (Melane), Tallassee, AL, his four daughters Dr. Vicky Scheid-Long MD (Jeffrey) West Grove, PA, Cindy Charles (Duane) Mountville, PA, Maria Huckaby (Mark) Thomaston, GA and Lisa Roth, Ephrata, PA, step daughters Margarita German (William), Little Falls and Brandi-Lynn LaPorta, Adamstown, MD, three brothers John P. Scheid (Kay), Lancaster, PA, William E. Scheid, Concord, MA and James Scheid (Debbie), Lancaster, PA, 15 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and several nieces , nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with Deacon Joseph DeLorenzo, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, November 3, 2011 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Friday morning.
