Obituary of Helen Otrupcak
LITTLE FALLS Helen Otrupcak, 81 of 760 E. Monroe St., (Valley View Courts), Little Falls passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 7, 2012 at Valley Health Services, Herkimer, N.Y.
She was born on May 22, 1931 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Drost) Chomiak. She was educated in Little Falls schools.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 57 years Stephen Otrupcak on July 30, 1949 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls. Mr. Otrupcak predeceased her on October 20, 2006. She was a devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She cherished her family and enjoyed cooking and serving delicious meals and desserts to their delight. She also enjoyed dancing when she was younger and tending her flower garden and watching the birds in her backyard. She was blessed to live a happy and fulfilling life and adored her grandchildren and her great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Otrupcak was employed at one time by the Salada Foods Co. and the former Van Allen Nursing Home, both of Little Falls. She was last employed in the packaging department for the former LaSalle Laboratories, Little Falls.
She is survived by her sons Stephen M. (Karen) Otrupcak and Thomas E. Otrupcak, her daughters Katherine A.(Thomas) Owens and Stephanie J. (Robert) Cook, all of Little Falls, her sister Nancy Mygas, Alabama, 6 grandchildren Melissa Cook, Thomas C. Owens, Katrina A. Cheney, Stefan J. Owens, Anna E. Owens and Stephen P. Otrupcak, 3 great-grandchildren Summer Moon Ianotta, Fern Elizabeth Beattie and Jonah James Owens and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 brothers Charles, George, Frank and John Chomiak, 3 sisters Catherine Bronson, Olga Van Gorder and Mary Chomiak and by a grandson Robert S. Cook
Memorial services will be held on Friday, October 19, 2012 at 11:00 am from the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 512 E. Gansevoort St., Little Falls with the Rev. Joseph Famulare, Pastor officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Little Falls.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at the church on Friday morning from 10 11 am.
Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls.
