Obituary of Hilda G. Seifried

LITTLE FALLS Hilda G. Seifried, 83 formerly of 16 High Street and more recent of Valley Health Services, Herkimer passed away Sunday, April 11, 2010 at that residence. She was born on November 3, 1926 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Philip and Gertrud (Gambal) Seifried. She attended Little Falls High School. Miss. Seifried was a very active member of the Christ Lutheran Church, Little Falls and was one of the first two women to serve on the church council and was very involved in the church Sunday school. She also enjoyed gardening and working outside on her yard. She was employed for many years by the former Allegro Shoe Corp., Little Falls. She is survived by her sister Lena Dam, Little Falls and by her nephew Philip Dam, Maineville, OH and her grand nieces and nephew. Her brother Karl Seifried passed away later that same week on April 14, 2010. Graveside services for Hilda and her bother Karl will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at 1:00 pm at the Church Street Cemetery, Little Falls with the Deacon Jay Berry of the Christ Lutheran Church officiating. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Miss. Seifried be considered to the Christ Lutheran Church, 14 Petrie St., Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
