Obituary of Hugh E. Sinclair

FORT PLAIN – Hugh E. Sinclair, 53 of 1414 River Road, Fort Plain passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, June 15, 2004 at Saratoga Hospital, Saratoga Springs shortly after arrival. He was born on July 15, 1950 in Bonners Ferry, Idaho the son of the late Melvin and Margaret (Kestler) Sinclair. He was a graduate of Bonners Ferry High School as well as a graduate of Lewis Clark State College, Idaho. He had resided in Glens Falls for many years prior to moving to Fort Plain. Mr. Sinclair was united in marriage to the former Susan A. Horender Horton on May 30, 2004. The ceremony was held at the Beardslee Castle, Little Falls and performed by the bride’s brother Justice Loren Horender. The couple honeymooned in Maine and Nova Scotia before returning home on June 11, 2004. He was a veteran of the US Navy serving from 1974 – 1976. Mr. Sinclair held a deep Christian faith and a warm and generous spirit. He served as a Boy Scout leader in Glens Falls for over 15 years and was an active member of the Saratoga Rotary Club. He was a motivational speaker and active in youth programs. His real passion was building relationships with children and spending time with them just having fun. Children found it easy to relate with him. He was an avid sports enthusiast, he had love for the outdoors. At onetime he studied landscaping at the University of Maryland. He at onetime was the owner and operator of the “ServiceMaster” franchise in Glens Falls and later formed his own company “All-Pro” Cleaning Services, also in Glens Falls. He is survived by his new bride Susan A. Horton – Sinclair, a step son Jared Horton, Ft. Plain, a step daughter Nathel Florian and her husband Christopher, Little Falls, an adopted son E.J. Sinclair, Glens Falls and an adopted daughter Liana Sinclair, Glens Falls., 2 brothers Ronald Sinclair and his wife Mary, and Randy Sinclair and his wife Kelly, both of Seattle, WA, 3 sisters Jenny Fessler and her husband Allen, Bonners Ferry, ID, Marla Bohne and her husband Gary, Spokane, WA and Maryann Hanes and her husband Milan, Horseshoe Bend, ID, his father in law Ralph Horender and his wife Elizabeth, Little Falls, 4 brothers in law Gary Horender and his wife Robin, Wayne Horender and his wife Colleen, Kevin Horender and his wife Lori and Loren Horender and his wife Kimberly all of Little Falls, a sister in law Karen Dailey and her husband Bari, Atlanta, GA, several nieces and nephews and many dear and close friends. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2004 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with his father in law Chaplin Ralph Horender officiating. Interment will take place in Indian Castle Cemetery, Town of Danube. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday, June 18, 2004 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Saturday morning.
