Obituary of Jacqueline E. Gehring

LITTLE FALLS Jacqueline E. Gehring, 87 of State Route 5S, Little Falls went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 3, 2012 at the Alpine Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Little Falls where she had been a resident since August of 2011. She was born on February 25, 1925 in the Town of Danube the daughter of the late John E. and Elva (Loucks) Gehring. She was educated in the "Stone House" school in the Town of Little Falls and then Little Falls High School and has resided in the Little Falls area most of her life. Jackie was a member of the First Baptist Church, Little Falls and was active in the Womens Christian Fellowship of the church. She also served as the church custodian for many years. She was the past president and treasurer of the Manheim Lutheran Cemetery Assoc. (Yellow Church). She was the owner and operator of the family dairy farm located on Fall Hill in the Town of Danube where she was born and raised. She continued to operate the family farm until her retirement in 2005. She is survived by her daughter in law Sandra Pinkevicz, Fulton, NY, her granddaughters Brittany and Michelle Pinkevicz and many dear and close cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her son John A. Pinkevicz on August 3, 2011. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral services to be held on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at 10:00 am from the First Baptist Church, 555 Albany Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Christopher Wintermute officiating. As a descendant of the Hess family interment will take place in the Hess Family Cemetery, (Fall Hill) Town of Danube at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. There are no calling hours. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Jackie be considered to the First Baptist Church, 555 Albany St., Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
