William J. Janezic LITTLE FALLS - William J. Janezic, 86 of 201 Church Street, Little Falls passed away Sunday, March 26, 2006 at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center, Utica where he had been a patient since March 7, 2006. He was born on January 12, 1920 in Forest City, PA the son of the late Frank and Johanna (Carli) Janezic. He was educated in Forest City Schools. He was united in marriage to his wife of 58 years the former Amelia K. Kudela on January 11, 1947 in Herkimer, NY. Mrs. Janezic predeceased him on June 24, 2005. Mr. Janezic was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Army Air Corps. Entering the service on April 23, 1942 in Utica. He served with the 22nd Supply Squadron in Italy. He was honorably discharged as a Sergeant on October 18, 1945 at Ft. Dix, NJ. He was a member of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls. Mr. Janezic was employed at onetime by the former Cheney Hammer Co., & the former H.P. Snyder Mfg. Co., both of Little Falls, Remington Arms Co., Ilion and the Adirondack Bat Co., Dolgeville. He was last employed as a machine operator by the Salada Foods Corp., Little Falls retiring in 1985. He is survived by his 3 daughters Joanne J. Gelinas, Ashburn, VA, Karen Janezic, Bradenton, FL and Kathy Ruhlman and her husband Gary, Largo, FL, 2 brothers Tom Janezic and his wife Ann Marie, Forest City, PA and Donald Janezic, Jermyn, PA, 2 sisters Jane Edmunds, Jermyn, PA and Agnes Rutkowsky, Prompton, PA, 4 grandchildren Janice Swain, Jason Gelinas, Joseph Gelinas and Amanda Ruhlman, 4 great grandchildren Maggie, Amy, Charlie & Ellie Swain, several nieces and nephews, sisters in laws and brothers in laws. He was predeceased by 4 brothers George, Joseph, Frank and John Janezic and by 2 sisters Angeline Swegal and Mary Andrilla. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 30, 2006 at 11:30 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Carl Evans, Pastor of the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in Holy Trinity Lutheran Cemetery later in the spring. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday, March 30, 2006 from 10-11:30 am and to attend the funeral services to follow. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Janezic be considered to the American Heart Association, P.O. Box 3049, Syracuse, NY 13220-3049 or to the American Diabetes Association, 1508 Genesee St., Utica, NY 13502 Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
