Obituary of <u> </u>

Joanna S. Miner LITTLE FALLS - Joanna S. Miner, 81 formerly of Finleyville, PA and more recent of 36 Petrie Street, Little Falls passed away Saturday, September 25, 2004 at Little Falls Hospital. She was born on August 10, 1923 in Vanderbilt, PA the daughter of the late Charles and Lillian (Means) Shallenberger. She was a graduate in Connellsville, PA High School as well as Indiana University of Pennsylvania. She was united in marriage to Eugene D. Miner on August 14, 1960 in Winchester, VA. Mr. Miner predeceased her on December 16, 2000, Mrs. Miner was a member of St. Paul's Universalist Church, Little Falls. She was employed at one time as a business teacher in Uniontown, PA. She later became a secretary for US Steel and was employed in that same capacity for the Busy Beaver Stores and Lhormer Real Estate all of Pennsylvania retiring in 1991. She is survived by her daughter Rev. Kimberly Miner, Little Falls pastor of St. Paul's Universalist Church, a sister Betty J. Brimm, Cedar Falls, Iowa, 2 grandchildren Skyeler and Laurel Brodkorb, both of Little Falls and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Margaret R. Kauffman. Memorial services will be held at Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Smithton, PA on November 20, 2004 at 10:30 am. Interment will follow at Jefferson Memorial Park, Jefferson Boro, PA. Friends will be received at the home of Rev. Miner at 36 Petrie Street, Little Falls on Wednesday, September 29, 2004 from 6-8 pm. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Miner be considered to St. Paul's Universalist Church, 565 Albany Street, Little Falls or to the American Heart Association, 120 Lomond Court, Utica, NY 13502. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls.
