Obituary of John Francis Hooks

FINDLAY, OHIO - John Francis Hooks, 87, of Findlay, Ohio formerly of Little Falls, passed away Monday July 18, 2011 at the Cleveland Clinic, Ohio. He was born on April 2, 1924 in Little Falls the son of the late Harry and Helen (Noonan) Hooks and was a graduate of St. Marys Academy, Little Falls He was united in marriage to his wife of 65 years the former Frances L. Jasewicz on June 1, 1944 at St. Marys Church, Little Falls. Mrs. Hooks predeceased him on February 6, 2009. Mr. Hooks retired in 1989 after 26 years of service as a industrial engineer for Findlay Industries of Ohio and at onetime was employed by the former National Automotive Fibers Co., Little Falls. A member of the Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls and St. Michaels Parish, Findlay, OH he was also a life member of the Little Falls Elks Lodge # 42 B.P.O.E. He is survived by his sons Thomas Hooks (Anna Marie), William Hooks (Nancy), Findlay, OH, his daughters Jeanne Brohl, Rocky River, OH and Aileen Hooks (Ray Donley), Austin, TX, 2 sisters, Arlene Ehlinger (Joseph), Little Falls and Ann Foltin, Little Falls, 12 grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 brothers Eugene and Leo Hooks and a brother in law Ludvik Foltin. A memorial mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 2, 2011 at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main & John St.s, Little Falls. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery, Town of Herkimer The family will receive relatives and friends at Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Monday, August 1, 2011 from 6-8 pm. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Hooks be considered to the Holy Family Parish Church, 763 E.
