Obituary of Kenneth G. Schuyler

DOLGEVILLE Kenneth G. Schuyler, 79 of 87 S. Main Street, Dolgeville, formerly of the Snells Bush Road (Town of Manheim) passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, November 27, 2007 at his residence. He was born on June 30, 1928 in Little Falls the son of the late George F. and Inez (Goodell) Schuyler. He was a graduate of Dolgeville High School class of 1946. He was united in marriage to the former Shirley M. Bush on November 11, 1950 at the First Presbyterian Church, Dolgeville. Mr. Schuyler was a veteran of the US Marine Corps. Entering the service on September 30, 1946. He was honorably discharged as a Corporal on September 10, 1948. He was a member of the Inghams Mills Baptist Church. As well as a member of the Dolgeville Lodge # 796 F&AM, the Scottish Rite, the Auskerada, Maquaes, Rock City Chapter # 204 OES, Dolgeville and the Marine Corps League, Ilion. Mr. Schuyler for many years owned and operated a dairy farm on the Snell Bush Road in the Town of Manheim. Prior to operating the farm he was employed as a mechanic for various garages in the area. He also was employed at onetime by the former Cherry Burrell Corp., Little Falls. Following his retirement from farming he was employed by Fakes Auto Enterprises Dolgeville for several years. He is survived by his wife Shirley, a son Danny L. Schuyler and his wife Nancy, Dolgeville, 2 daughters Deborah A. Briggs and her husband Steven, Mohawk and Donna L. Crawford and her husband Leonard, Dolgeville, 3 brothers Richard Schuyler and his wife Marion, Ft. Plain, John Schuyler and his wife Louise, Oneida Castle and Robert Schuyler and his wife Hanna, St. Johnsville, 9 grandchildren Jody Schuyler and his wife Jennifer, Dana Schuyler, Sara Schuyler, Erin Thayer and her husband Christopher, Courtney, Erica and Alexandra Briggs, Rodney Schuyler and Maxamillion Crawford, 2 great grandsons Adam Schuyler and Nicholas Schuyler and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Kenneth Schuyler, Jr. and by a daughter Holly Ann Schuyler. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, December 1, 2007 at 11:00 am from the Inghams Mills Baptist Church, with Pastor Gertrude Ortlieb officiating. Interment will follow in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Inghams Mills Baptist Church on Saturday, December 1, 2007 from 10 - 11 am and to attend the services to follow. Main St., Dolgeville, NY 13329. Envelopes will be available at the church as well as the funeral home for this purpose. Members of the Dolgeville Lodge # 796, F&AM will call in a body at the church on Saturday morning at 10:45 am to conduct their ritualistic services.
