Obituary of Leo L. Cline

KALAMAZOO, MICHIGAN - Leo L. Cline, 88 of 6123 Grenache Lane, Portage, MI formerly of Little Falls and Deltona, Florida passed away Monday, June 14, 2004 at the Bronson Methodist Hospital, Kalamazoo, MI. He and his wife Wilhelmina have been residing in Michigan for the past 2 years. He was born on December 17, 1915 in Indian Castle the son of the late Floyd and Rosina (Hayes) Cline. He was a graduate of Ilion High School. He was united in marriage to the former Veronica Reardon on October 27, 1937 at St. Mary's Rectory, Little Falls. She predeceased him on October 28, 1982. He was again united in marriage to the former Wilhelmina (Van Eyk) Blue on October 24, 1987 in Oshtemo, MI. Mr. Cline was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Navy. Entering the service on December 12, 1942 in Little Falls. He was honorably discharged on October 30, 1945. He was a member of the Inghams Mills Baptist Church, the Elk's Lodge # 42, B.P.O.E., Little Falls Dolgeville - Little Falls Masonic Lodge # 796 F&AM, the Scottish Rite & Bahia Shrine. Also while residing in Florida he was a member of the Deltona Civic Center, AARP, Deltona Chapter, and the Scottish Rite Social Club. He is survived by his wife Wilhelmina, his sister Gladys Donlin, Ilion, a niece Eleanor Hayes and her husband William, Lasselsville and a nephew Barry Johns and his wife Kathy, Little Falls, his great nieces and nephews Celene Rogers and her husband Edmund, Little Falls, Keith Johns Dolgeville, Matthew Johns, Camden, Luke Johns and his wife Toni Anne, Little Falls, Blaise Johns, Little Falls and Kathy Johns, Little Falls, 3 great great nieces and nephews Veronica and Eddie Rogers and Alexa Johns. He was predeceased by a brother Donald F. Cline, who died on July 22, 1999. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 18, 2004 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with Pastor Gertrude Ortlieb of the Inghams Mills Baptist Church officiating. Interment will take place in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Friday, June 18, 2004 from 9-10 am and to attend the funeral services to follow. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Cline be considered to the American Cancer Society, 100 Lomond Court, Utica, NY 13502. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose. Members of the Dolgeville Masonic Lodge # 796, F&AM will call in a body at the funeral home on Friday morning at 9:30 am to conduct their ritualistic services.
