Obituary of Mamta Ahluwalia

LITTLE FALLS Mamta Ahluwalia, 52 of 183 Lakeview Drive, Little Falls passed away Saturday, January 26, 2008 at St. Elizabeths Medical Center, Utica. She was born on July 27, 1955 in Parikshatghar, India the daughter of Mrs. Satya R. Ahluwalia, India and the late Mr. Jai P. Ahluwalia. She was educated in her native schools. She came to this country in the early 1990s and later returned to India. In 1995 she return to the United States where she has since resided. An avid bingo player and collector of stuffed animals, she found her greatest joy in spending time with her family and many friends. Miss. Ahluwalia was employed for several years by the former LaSalle Labs., Little Falls and at various times for other organizations through the Herkimer Area Resource Center. She is survived by her mother Mrs. Satya R. Ahluwalia, India, 2 brothers Dr. Prabhat Ahluwalia and his wife Kanella, Little Falls and Pradeep K. Ahluwalia and his wife Romy, India, 2 sisters Nisha R. Walia and her husband Ranbir, Virginia and Usha R. Walia and her husband Ran Jendra, India and her beloved nieces and nephews both in this country and India. Funeral services will be Sunday, January 27, 2008 from 12 2 pm at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls the Pundit Pramod Ji of the Hindu Temple, Syracuse officiating. The family would like to express their grateful appreciation to the United States and especially the local area for the opportunities afforded to Miss. Ahluwalia to learn and grow as a person despite her disabilities. They would also like to thank the nursing staff of both Little Falls Hospital and St. Elizabeths Medical Center for all of their care and compassion shown to Miss. Ahluwalia and her family.
