Obituary of Martha C. Jenison

LITTLE FALLS - Martha C. Jenison�79 formerly of Valley View Courts, Little Falls and more recent of 1051 State Route 29A, Salisbury Center, where she had been residing with her son Doug passed away Thursday, January 11, 2007 at the Folts Home, Herkimer where she had been a resident since October 1, 2006. She was born on December 12, 1927 in the Town of Salisbury, the daughter of the late Clayton and Adeline (Ruby) Burdick. She was educated in Salisbury rural schools. She was united in marriage to her husband of 57 years Charles L. Jenison on August 3, 1946 at the Salisbury United Methodist Church parsonage. Mr. Jenison predeceased her on September 14, 2003. She was a member of the Full Gospel Assembly of God Church, Salisbury Center. As well as a member of the Chicken Footers Club at Valley View Courts, Little Falls. Mrs. Jenison was employed for many years by the former Daniel Green Co., Dolgeville. She was last employed for over 20 years by the Rawlings Adirondack Co., Dolgeville retiring in 1990. A loving mother and grandmother who always provide for her family she is survived by 2 sons Douglas C. Jenison and his wife Sarah, Salisbury Center and David A. Jenison, Stratford, 2 daughters Marsha L. Burdick and her husband Rev. Ellery Burdick, Geronimo, OK and Stacay J. Juba and her husband Rev. William Juba, Rochester, NY, 2 brothers Melvin Burdick and his wife Lois, Oklahoma and Willard Burdick and his friend June, Little Falls, a sister Ruby Williams, Stratford, an uncle Howard Burdick, California, 12 grandchildren 11 great granddaughters and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 4 brothers Henry, Lyle, Meryl and Leonard Burdick and by 2 sisters Flora Belcher and Hazel Daley. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 16, 2007 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. William Juba and Rev. Ellery Burdick, sons-in-law of Mrs. Jenison officiating. Interment will take place in Curtiss Cemetery, Town of Salisbury. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Monday, January 15, 2007 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Tuesday morning. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Jenison be considered to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
