Obituary of Mary R. Edmunds

TOWN OF DANUBE - Mary R. Edmunds, 73 of 284 Schalls Hollow Road, Little Falls passed away Saturday, July 14, 2012 at St. Johnsville Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, St. Johnsville. She was born on August 12, 1938 in Fort Plain, the daughter of the late James and Bessie (Gillette) Mang. She was educated in Fort Plain Schools. She was united in marriage to her first husband Earl G. Mosher on September 8, 1956. He predeceased her on September 11, 1977. She was again united in marriage to Allan G. Edmunds on December 23, 1978 at St. Johns Reformed Church, St. Johnsville. She was a member of the St. Johns Reformed Church, St. Johnsville and the Indian Castle Church Restoration and Presevation Society. Mrs. Edmunds also enjoyed her vegetable gardens. She is survived by her husband Allan G. Edmunds, a son George Mosher, Little Falls, 2 daughters Elaine Clavette and husband Paul, Dolgeville, Bonnie Sicara and her husband John, Dolgeville, 4 Step sons Allan Edmunds and his wife Joy, Little Falls, Leland Edmunds and his wife Cindy, Mohawk, Bernard Edmunds and his wife Linda, Westfield , MA, Donald Edmunds and his wife Yukari, St. Augustine, FL, 2 step daughters Cynthia Barker and her husband Phil, Lynchburg, VA, Linda Case and her husband Fred, St. Johnsville, a sister Catherine Blencoe, Ft. Plain, she has several grandchildren, great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her beloved feline companion Jake. She was predeceased by her 2 brothers George and David Mang as well as her sister Anna Belle Hazzard. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2012 at 1:00 pm from the St. Johns Reformed Church, 68 West Main Street, St. Johnsville with the Rev. David Plank officiating. Interment will follow in Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at St. Johns Reformed Church, 68 West Main Street, St. Johnsville on Thursday, July 19, 2012 from 12-1 pm and to attend the funeral services that follow. Arrangements are by the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls. In lieu of flowers it is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Edmunds be considered to Indian Castle Church Restoration and Presevation Society, PO Box 172, Little Falls, NY 13365 or to the Herkimer County Humane Society, PO Box 73, Mohawk, NY. 13407. Envelopes are also available at the funeral for this purpose.
