Obituary of Mary Ellen Deming

LITTLE FALLS Mary Ellen Deming 91, of Lewis Street, Little Falls passed away Monday, March 11, 2013 at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on April 8, 1921 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Thomas and Emma (Pross) Welsby. She was a graduate of Little Falls High School Class of 1939. She was united in marriage to her husband of 53 years Francis Harris Deming on June 13, 1942 at Chanute Field, IL. Mr. Deming predeceased her on January 2, 1993. Mrs. Deming was employed as a clerk for the NYS Dept. of Labor at the Little Falls office for 25 years and at onetime was employed by the Little Falls Evening Times. An avid reader, she enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, gardening and especially being around her family. She is survived by her son Col. (US Air Force Retired) Russell A. Deming (Kim), Spokane, WA, her daughters Cheryl A. Deming, Northport, FL and Carol J. Giaquinto (Frank), Little Falls, her grandchildren Ellen Kraft (Mark), Northport, FL, Kelly Altieri (John), Riverdale, NY, Jessica Deming, Annapolis, MD, Anthony Giaquinto (Jen), Little Falls and Mark Giaquinto, Albany, NY, her great grandchildren Alec, Mikayla and Collin Kraft and Ashley, Taylor and Christopher Giaquinto, her brother in law Ronald Deming, Little Falls and Sister in Law Betty Deming, Little Falls, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brothers Thomas & Russell Welsby. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2013 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Joseph Famulare officiating. Interment will take place later in the spring at Rural Park Cemetery, Inghams Mills. Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Saturday, March 16, 2013 from 10-11 am and to attend the funeral services to follow.
