LITTLE FALLS - Mary M. Moynihan, 90 formerly of 76 Burwell Street, Little Falls and for many years of 550 E. John St. (Rockton Plaza), Little Falls passed away Monday, October 13, 2003 at the Residential Healthcare Facility at Little Falls Hospital with her loving family at her side.
She was born on October 10, 1913 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Howard and Mary (Kane) Jones. She attended Little Falls High School and has been a life long resident of Little Falls.
She was united in marriage to her husband of 36 years John Moynihan on June 17, 1939 at St. Mary's Church, Little Falls by the Rev. Wm. D. Noonan. Mr. Moynihan predeceased her on February 15, 1975.
She was a member of the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls and the Rosarians of that church.
She is survived 2 sons Peter Moynihan and his wife Kathleen and Terry Moynihan and his wife Jeanne both of Little Falls, 5 grandchildren, 2 step grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a sister Gertrude Grant, who died on July 2, 1990 and a brother Frederick Jones, who died on October 14, 1999.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 16, 2003 at 10:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Daniel Lanza and Sister Marilyn Hayes, CSJ of the Holy Family Parish of Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in St. Mary's Cemetery, Town of Herkimer.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 15, 2003 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Thursday morning.
It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mrs. Moynihan be considered to the Herkimer ARC, 333 S. Main St., Herkimer, NY 13350 or to the Resdential Helathcare Facility at Little Falls Hospital, 140 Burwell St., Little Falls, NY 13365. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
