Obituary of Mary M. Zambri
LITTLE FALLS Mary M. Zambri, 88 of 8259 State Route 5, Little Falls passed away unexpectedly Sunday, September 26, 2010 at her residence.
She was born on May 25, 1922 in Little Falls the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (Donovan) Grau. She was a graduate of St. Marys Academy, Little Falls Class of 1940.
On September 18, 1943 she married the love of her life John J. Zambri at St. Marys Church, Little Falls the couple shared a blessed union of 63 years before he predeceased her on February 17, 2007.
Mrs. Zambri was a member of the Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls.
For many years she assisted her husband John as the bookkeeper of the family businesss the Top of the Hill Food Market and later Zambri Marine, Little Falls.
A loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who adored her grandchildren, she enjoyed spending her time caring and decorating her home, tending to her flower gardens and entertaining for family and friends.
She is survived by her 2 sons and their wives Thomas and Mary Zambri, Mohawk and John and Darlene Zambri, Little Falls, her 2 daughters and their husbands Catherine & Robert Danks, Johnson City, TN and Lorraine and Stephen Smith, Eastham, MA, her sister Rita Klimacek, Utica, 4 grandchildren Burke Zambri and his wife Christe, Lillian Zambri, Shaun Smith and Kara Smith, 2 great grandchildren Nathan and Clarissa Zambri, 3 sisters in law Molly Grau, Little Falls, Rose Grau, Dolgeville and Angelina Taverni, Brockport, NY, her special friend Lena Jantosciak, Herkimer, several nieces and nephews and her beloved cat Coco. She was predeceased by 2 brothers Edmund Grau in 1996 and Francis (Sonny) Grau in 2004 also by 2 brothers in law Bernard Taverni and Milan Klimacek.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 30, 2010 at 11:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main & John St.s Little Falls where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Interment will take place at St. Marys Cemetery, Town of Herkimer.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls on Wednesday, September 29, 2010 from 6-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Thursday morning.
