Obituary of Matthew E. Gorinshek,
LITTLE FALLS- Matthew E. Gorinshek, 75 of 1189 Shellsbush Road, Little Falls passed away on Monday, April 9, 2012 at his residence.
He was born on March 31, 1937 in the Town of Manheim, the son of the late Matthew and Anna Helen (Petkovsek) Gorinshek. He attended the Little Falls schools.
He was united in marriage to his wife of 55 years Beverly J. Dillenbeck on November 3, 1956 at former St. Marys Catholic Church Little Falls.
Mr. Gorinshek was a member of the Holy Family Parish Church, Little Falls. He was a member of the Salisbury Ridge Runners where he enjoyed trail grooming and trail maintenance for the past 10 years. He was an avid snowmobile rider and enjoyed visiting casinos. His favorite hobby of all was working with the horses on Kast Hill Farm, Herkimer owned by Dan and Dottie Perry.
He was employed by Chicago Pneumatic where he worked as a machinist. He retired in 1997 after 32 years of service. He also worked his own excavating business for over 40 years. He took pride in the family farm they owned and operated for 32 years where they at one time raised ostriches and had many family outings throwing hay. He will be remembered for instilling in his children a set of values that included integrity, honesty and love
Mr. Gorinshek is survived by his wife Beverly J. Gorinshek, 3 sons Mark Gorinshek and his wife Janice, Little Falls, Timothy (Tag) Gorinshek and his wife Tina, Fairfield, James Gorinshek and his wife Wendy, Little Falls, a daughter Carry Davis and her husband Richard, Little Falls, 2 brothers John Dineen and his wife Mary Ann, Little Falls, Ralph Dineen and his wife Linda, Little Falls, a sister Anne Kyte, Butler, TN., 8 Grandchildren Kiersten Barnes, TJ Gorinshek, Matthew and Andrew Gorinshek, Dalton Gorinshek, Rick and Stephen Davis, Shiloh Herringshaw, 6 great grandchildren Tyler Barnes, Jesse Gorinshek, Rick and Emily Davis, Abby and Katie Davis and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a son Matthew E. Gorinshek, Jr. on June 22, 1980 and a sister Mary Wolfley.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at 9:00 am from the Holy Family Parish Church, Cor. Main & John Sts, Little Falls where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by the Rev. Thomas Lawless. Interment will take place in St. Marys Cemetery, Town of Herkimer.
Relatives and friends are invited to pay their respects at the Chapman-Moser Funeral, Inc. 42 North Ann Street, Little Falls on Friday, April 13, 2012 from 5-8 pm and to attend the funeral services Saturday morning.
