Obituary of Max L. Waltamath

LITTLE FALLS - Max L. Waltamath, 88 of 243 Church Street, Little Falls passed away Saturday, November 13, 2004 at his residence. He was born on September 19, 1916 in the Town of Danube the son of the late Clarence and Myrtle (Cunningham) Waltamath. He was a graduate of Little Falls High School. He was united in marriage to his wife of 63 years the former Jane Johnson on April 15, 1939 at St. Mary's Church Parish House, Little Falls. Mrs. Waltamath predeceased him on April 3, 2002. Mr. Waltamath was a veteran of World War II serving with the US Navy. He was of the Methodist faith and was a member of the Little Falls Elk's Lodge # 42 B.P.O.E. Mr. Waltamath was employed at onetime by the former H.P. Snyder Mfg. Co., Little Falls and later be the former C. Hanson Laboratories, Little Falls. He was last employed ass a purchasing agent for the Burrows Paper Corp., Little Falls retiring in 1976. He is survived by his daughter Sara J. Waltamath, Mellenville, NY, a daughter in law Angie Waltamath, Kingston, NY, 2 grandsons James & Michael Waltamath. He was predeceased by his son James R. Waltamath who died in April of 1982 and be a brother Glenn R. Waltamath, who died in April of 1960 and a sister Ruth A. Waltamath, who died in March of 1970. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 18, 2004 at 11:00 am from the Chapman-Moser Funeral Home, Inc., 42 N. Ann Street, Little Falls with the Rev. Wrightson Tongue, Pastor of the First Untied Methodist Church of Herkimer - Little Falls officiating. Interment will take place in St. Johnsville Cemetery, St. Johnsville. There are no calling hours. It is the wish of the family that contributions in memory of Mr. Waltamath be considered to the Valley Health Services, 690 W. German Street, Herkimer, NY 13350. Envelopes are also available at the funeral home for this purpose.
